Privacy Policy for RideReady: Smart Bike Weather

At Mungalabs, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the RideReady: Smart Bike Weather application, developed and published under the Mungalabs developer account.

Information We Collect

• Device and usage data: Such as app version, crash reports, and general analytics. Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics): We use these services to collect non-identifiable technical data to improve app performance and stability.
• Location data: Used to suggest nearby cycling routes, provide weather conditions, and calculate ride distances.
• Weekly Progress Data: Local storage of your daily cycling achievements to visualize your weekly activity streak.
• Kinetic Resilience Engine: Local processing of speed and weather data to calculate estimated power output (Watts), aerodynamic penalties, and your personal Resilience Index.
• Advertising data: Ads are provided by Google AdMob and comply with family-friendly standards.
• Advertising ID: RideReady: Smart Bike Weather uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK, which may access the device’s Advertising ID to display personalized or non-personalized ads. The Advertising ID is not linked to personally identifiable information and is only used for advertising and analytics purposes. Users can reset or disable the Advertising ID in their device settings.

Ride Tracking & Background Location

RideReady: Smart Bike Weather includes a tracking feature to calculate cycling distance and Speed, as well as the Kinetic Resilience Engine to audit your power and aero efficiency. This requires Background Location access to function correctly when your screen is off or when the app is in the background. We use this data to provide real-time pace feedback via Motion Cues and to display Breadcrumb trails on the Map. We do not collect, store on our servers, or share this location history; it is processed and kept only locally on your device.

Breadcrumb Trail Storage

Your most recent Breadcrumb trail is stored locally on your device’s storage. This allows you to view your previous travels on the map even after closing the app. This data remains strictly on your device and is cleared when you start a new ride tracking session.

Floating Bubble & Display Over Other Apps

To keep you informed during your ride, the Floating Bubble feature allows you to view your speed and status while using other applications. This requires the "Display over other apps" permission to function. No data is collected, stored, or transmitted through this overlay; it is purely a visual tool for your convenience and can be closed at any time.

Social Sharing

The Share feature allows you to manually export your ride statistics to third-party applications (such as social media or messaging apps). This action is entirely user-initiated. RideReady: Smart Bike Weather does not collect, store, or have access to the content shared through this feature.

User Data Control

Users have full control over their tracking data. You can permanently clear your previous ride and total accumulated distance at any time using the Reset button within the tracking panel of the app.

Notifications & Alerts

RideReady: Smart Bike Weather may send you notifications regarding cycling weather conditions, ride recommendations, and active tracking status. We use your device's location to determine when these alerts are relevant to you. You can opt-out of these notifications at any time through your device settings.

Third-Party Services

RideReady: Smart Bike Weather integrates external services to provide features:

• Open-Meteo API: Used to retrieve weather information. Open-Meteo may process non-identifiable data such as location coordinates to deliver accurate forecasts.
• Google Firebase: Used for real-time crash reporting and usage analytics to ensure a smooth user experience.

We do not control how third-party services handle data, but we only integrate providers that comply with privacy and security standards.

Children’s Privacy

RideReady: Smart Bike Weather is not specifically designed for children, but if accessed by younger users:

• We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
• Any data collected is limited to what is necessary for app functionality (such as non-identifiable usage statistics).
• Ads shown are reviewed to ensure they are appropriate for a general audience.

How We Use Information

• To improve app performance and user experience.
• To provide location-based cycling route suggestions, weather features, and ride distance tracking.
• To display relevant ads (if applicable).
